NCPRA Harrison County Rodeo kicks off tonight

Rain or shine, the rodeo is back here on the Gulf Coast.

The NCPRA Harrison County Rodeo and Festival kicks off tonight at 7:30 and runs through Sunday at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.

Rodeo workers have been hard at work getting ready for a weekend full of horse riding, bull riding, and calf roping for folks to enjoy.

In addition to the adult competitions, the event features a kids rodeo and giveaways from Big Play Entertainment and the Golden Nugget Casino. Harrison County Rodeo and Festival Worker Justin Pender says the rodeo is a one of a kind event on the Coast. “It’s something different in Gulfport. It’s only once a year down here. It’s something new to come see.”

Admission to the rodeo is $10, but kids four and under get in free.
