9th Annual Senior Halloween Spectacular held

Once a year, seniors are able to let loose and play dress up.

Some choosing a more modest approach, some on theme, and others hand-making their costumes.

This is the 9th year of the Senior Halloween Spectacular and this year’s them was “Who Dun It?”

Seniors indulged in candy just like trick-or-treaters before working together to solve a murder mystery along the way.

No costume was required for entry, of course.

The event is about enjoying the season no matter how you celebrate.

“Some are totally against dressing up, and some are just full out dressed. Some come in the era, some come in just Halloween costumes,” said Jaime Smith, the director of the Red Barnett Senior Center. “You can come as you are, or however you would like. It’s a lot of joy,  you can see it on their faces.”
