97th annual Blessing of the Fleet returns to Biloxi
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- One of South Mississippi’s most historic traditions returns this weekend for its 97th year.
The Biloxi Blessing of the Fleet begins with the shrimp festival on the Harrah’s Great Lawn at 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
Shrimpers will be taking to the water in their boats around the same time for the official festivities on the Biloxi Channel, culminating with the wreath drop at 12:30.
This year’s Shrimp King and Shrimp Queen will be on the water to wish shrimpers a safe and large harvest this year.
