9/12 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Post Francine” Thursday Night Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

An upper low evolves over the southeast early next week and moves very slowly through Friday. At the surface, a weak front is draped over the northern Gulf early in the week and dissipates by the end of the week. Southwesterly flow will continue over the coastal waters tonight and Friday, but will be subsiding. A Small Craft Advisory expired at 7 PM this evening and marine hazards have ended. As the winds subside seas will also be on the decrease tonight and Friday. A light westerly to northwesterly flow will become established over the marine area Friday night through Sunday, with a generally light offshore flow then persisting through much of next week.
