88-year-old Vancleave man identified as victim in fatal Jackson County crash

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The victim in a fatal Monday morning accident in Jackson County has been identified.

On September 8, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash in Jackson County.

According to MHP, 88-year-old John Kowal of Vancleave was traveling north on Highway 57 when his vehicle collided with a dump truck that was traveling south on Highway 57.

Kowal received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the dump truck received no injuries from the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
