8/7 – Sam Parker’s “Saving Grace Dry Heat” Wednesday Noon Forecast

Surface dewpoints are running a couple degrees below expectations in a few areas, but the only impact on the forecast would be that it might take a little longer to reach heat advisory criteria. The drier air is definitely makes the hot not feel as hot. that is because of the high pressure still sitting in the west.  When looking at the afternoons to come, NWS will probably issue heat advisory again for Thursday.  The recent process has been to take the advisories day by day. They’ll likely also need advisories for Friday and Saturday.
