8/6 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Daily Heat Record” Tuesday Evening Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

It is pretty clear that the changes in Debby are becoming more obvious; as the backside of it is filtering in the dry air from the west. The expanding ridge from the four corners region is also to blame as its suppression is not helping our rain chances. Unfortunately, the lack of rain and the compression from the ridge will keep us with near-record heat over the next couple of days. To give an idea of how dry the atmosphere is below the average for this time of year. Tomorrow will be much of the same as today, although the continual northwest surface flow will keep dew points relatively tame. However, it will still be hot as the actual temps look to reach to near records once again as some sites will reach triple digits.
