8/6 – Sam Lucey’s “Warm and Less Cloudy” Wednesday Evening Forecast
After a mostly quiet evening, we could see a stray shower or storm before midnight and again closer to sunrise—but most of us will stay dry under partly cloudy skies with lows in the mid-70s.
Thursday brings another chance for afternoon thunderstorms, especially after lunchtime. Expect highs near 91 and light northeast winds. Any storms that develop could bring brief downpours, but rain totals should stay on the lighter side.
By Thursday night, rain chances drop back to 20%, and skies clear out a bit with overnight lows around 73.
We’ll keep the summer-like pattern going into Friday—another round of afternoon storms is possible, with highs just shy of 90 and light east winds. A few storms may linger into the evening, but most areas should see another mostly clear, warm night.
Looking ahead to the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday will bring a shot at scattered storms in the afternoon, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. Overnight lows stay mild, in the mid-70s, under partly cloudy skies.
