8/14 – Sam Lucey’s “Mild and Quiet” Thursday Evening Forecast

We’ll stay mostly clear tonight with just a slim chance of a shower before skies clear out. Lows will settle in the mid to upper 70s with light winds.

Friday will be hot and sunny, with highs near 93 and heat index values climbing to around 106. There is also a heat advisory in effect for Pearl River, Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties from 10 am to 7 pm. A few afternoon storms are possible, mainly for inland locations, before things quiet down under mostly clear skies Friday night.

Saturday brings another hot day with highs in the low to mid 90s and another brief chance for storms in the afternoon. Saturday night will be partly cloudy and warm, with lows in the mid 70s. Sunday stays mostly sunny with highs near 93 and a 40-50% chance for scattered afternoon storms.
