8/11 – Sam Lucey’s “Slightly Unsettled” Monday Evening Forecast

Higher rain chances

We’ve got a mostly quiet evening ahead, but late tonight into the early morning hours, we’ll likely have a batch of showers and thunderstorms roll through South Mississippi. Lows will dip to the mid and upper 70s, and winds will go calm after midnight.

Tuesday starts with coastal showers and storms and increasing throughout the area, with highs in the upper 80s due to a good amount of cloud cover persisting. Rain chances drop by the evening with lows hovering in the mid 70s.

Wednesday brings another round of showers and storms possible through both the morning and afternoon with highs close to 89. Skies clear out Wednesday night as high pressure begins to build into the area.

Thursday through the weekend, we’ll see the typical summer pattern: warm, muggy mornings, a few afternoon storms, and highs climbing from the low 90s Thursday into the mid-90s by Saturday and Sunday.
