8/1 – Chris’s “Excessive Heat” Tuesday Morning Forecast
The main focus through the next couple of days will be the continuation of Excessive heat across the southern six counties. A Stationary boundary is near the area this morning causing a few upper level non rain producing clouds. AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING is valid from 10am until 7pm today for heat indices from 110 to 116. This is a very good day to limit time outside and practice summertime safety tips. Tomorrow is very similar but there is a very slim chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Temperatures will ease a tad bit to the mid 90s on Thursday and Friday with a very slim chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Saturday looks to be the last day of oppressive heat as we head back to a more typical summertime pattern. Sunday and Monday we will see close to average daytime highs with elevated rain chances due to the sea-breeze
