7th annual Dolly Should Festival in Bay St. Louis
Over in the Bay, the 7th annual Dolly Should Festival brought out all the Dolly lovers in the region.
You could say Downtown Bay St. Louis was alive with Dolly Love on Saturday.
So many people put on their Dolly Parton tribute costumes for the contest. Mockingbird Café had Dolly specials and also featured live entertainment from the country western Dolly’s, ‘9 to 5’ Dollys, and Truvy Jones Dolly.
For one guest, it was the perfect way to celebrate Dolly Parton’s birthday. Cammie Bullock said, “Today is about celebrating Dolly Parton. She is a wonderful, wonderful person, and we love her here in Bay St. Louis. We have this every year because we’re celebrating her birthday, and we really want her to come visit us. Dolly is a wonderful singer, she is a wonderful actress, and she is exactly who she wants to be, all the time.”
All the money donated from the Dolly Parton costume contest will benefit the Hancock County Library System, specifically purchasing children’s books for the little libraries throughout Bay St. Louis.
