$75 million invested into Stone County, Anduril Industries expands Solid Rocket Complex
STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV) – Anduril Industries has invested $75 million into the expansion of the Solid Rocket Complex located in Stone County.
The Stone County Economic Development Partnership has accepted a purchase agreement with Anduril Industries, acquiring the previously leased 125-acre site where the company began operating its rocket motor production facility in 2021.
The expansion will bring over 200 jobs with a median salary of $100,000, all based in Stone County. The economic development efforts in the region are driving growth in a county with fewer than 20,000 residents.
Stone County is up and coming, with a developing downtown, construction of a new high school campus, and growing businesses. With Anduril Industries investing $75 million into the area, Stone County is booming with growth.
The site expansion will boost the facility’s annual production capacity from 600 to more than 6,000 tactical-scale solid rocket motors. The project is supported by substantial funding from both the U.S. Department of Defense and the State of Mississippi.
