7/31 – Sam Parker’s “It’s Getting Too Hot” Wednesday Night Forecast

Tonight and through Friday, the pattern will continue be hot and get fairly dry overall. There is an isolated to scattered chance of rain Thursday and Friday, but generally will be fairly limited in coverage. these storms could bring wicked lightning. The coverage will be low enough that it will not provide much relief from the heat and high temperatures and heat index values will be higher tomorrow and Friday! High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s with heat index values around 112 degrees. As a result, a heat advisory is in effect through 7:00 PM tonight and again tomorrow from 10AM through 7PM CT. Friday looks even hotter than tomorrow, so heat advisories will be likely again at least with the potential for an excessive heat warning. This will be looked at more closely tomorrow. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear loose-fitting clothing the next few days to try to stay cool and safe!
