7/29 – Sam Lucey’s “Warm and Cloudy” Tuesday Evening Forecast

Afternoon Rain Chances Continue Through the Weekend

Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing after 4 a.m. Temperatures will settle in the mid to upper 70s, with light winds overnight. Any rain that does fall should be light, unless a thunderstorm rolls through.

By Wednesday, rain chances increase through the day. Scattered storms are likely, especially through the early afternoon. After that, skies should clear a bit, letting the sun heat things up. Highs will climb to around 93, but it’ll feel more like 109 thanks to the humidity. Winds will stay light, shifting out of the south by the afternoon.

Storm chances drop off a bit Wednesday night, though a few showers may linger through early Thursday morning. It’ll be mostly clear overnight with a low around 78.

Thursday through the weekend will bring more of the same: mostly sunny mornings with storms bubbling up in the afternoon. Highs will hover in the low to mid 90s, and overnight lows will stay in the mid to upper 70s. We have a decent shot for storms on Thursday and Friday, and slightly less over the weekend, though storms will still be possible each afternoon and evening.
