After a mostly cloudy night with scattered showers and storms, lows will settle in the upper 70s with a light southerly breeze. Saturday brings a moderate chance of rain and thunderstorms, especially before mid-afternoon. Expect partly sunny skies and highs around 90, with rainfall totals generally light but locally higher in storms. Rain chances taper off Saturday night, leaving partly cloudy skies and a mild low in the mid to upper 70s.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and hot, with a slim chance of an afternoon storm and heat index values climbing as high as 106°. Overnight, skies clear and temps dip to the mid 70s. Monday heats up even more under sunny skies and a highs near 97.
The heat continues Tuesday, with a slight chance of storms in the afternoon and highs approaching 98. Rain chances increase slightly Tuesday night and into Wednesday, with scattered storms possible both days. Highs back off slightly into the low 90s midweek.
By next Thursday and Friday, more widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected each day, though sunshine still peeks through. Daytime highs hold steady in the low 90s with muggy, summer-like conditions persisting through the end of next week.
