7/2 – Sam’s “Beautiful” Wednesday Evening Forecast
Good Evening, South Mississippi!
It has been a warm, but picture-perfect, day across the coast and we have more beautiful weather in store for the 4th of July.
For tonight, temperatures will drop back into the low and mid 70s under clearing skies. Now that the cold front has passed through, light west-northwesterly winds will prevail through the night and into our Thursday.
By the afternoon high temperatures will reach the low 90s at the coast and mid 90s inland, with a good mix of clouds and sun throughout the day.
We are not expecting to see much in the way of rain, although we may see some scattered showers over the Gulf in the morning and a couple isolated storms in the far western portions of the coast near the Louisiana state line by the late afternoon.
If you are headed out for the opening of the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo on Thursday, July 3rd, the marine conditions are looking more favorable with a light wind from the north… just watch out for isolated showers and thunderstorms on the Gulf. The conditions on Friday look even better!
High tide will be just before 5:30 am at Gulfport Harbor and ranging from 4:11 am in Pascagoula to near 7 am in Biloxi, and just after 6:30 am in Waveland.
Rain chances remain slim over the 4th of July holiday, although we’ll reintroduce a slight rain chance through the weekend and next week as we start to see a more summer-like sea breeze pattern.
