$6 Million Grant For Pre-K Initiatives
$6 Million Grant For Pre-K Initiatives Provided By W. K. Kellogg Foundation The Mississippi department of education is awarded a 6 million dollar grant to expand early childhood education in the state. The grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation will support teachers statewide in a variety of pre-k settings to implement developmentally appropriate practices in their classrooms. Right now the public Pre-K program in Biloxi is already funded by a different W. K. Kellogg Foundation grant. Statewide the legislature provides four million dollars for early childhood collaborative to support public pre-school in districts across the state none of those on the coast.
