6/30 – Jeff’s “Extreme Heat Continues” Weekend Forecast

It will remain warm and humid overnight. Only expect a few clouds from time to time. The way air is being trapped in the low levels will keep smoke, haze, and particulates pinned to the surface. This will provide for a hazy look and an orange moon.

An Excessive Heat Warning will be in place again tomorrow from 10 AM until 8 PM. While it won’t be as miserable as earlier this week, it will be equally important to stay safe in the heat. The pattern does not begin to change until we work towards next week.

Ridge of high pressure breaks down during the second half of the weekend. The pattern will revert back to our normal summertime regime. More unsettled conditions with rain chances will be back for next week. 4th of July plans should be fine but it will be worth noting that you should have a way to head indoors.
