6/23 – Sam’s “Hot and Muggy” Monday Evening Forecast

Once our afternoon storms die out this evening we’ll stay mostly clear until closer to morning when we could see another brief round of coastal showers. Temperatures will sit in the low to mid 70s across South Mississippi and another afternoon of hot and muggy conditions is expected too.

High temperatures will top out in the low to mid 90s with a chance for a few more showers to pop up in the early afternoon. Rainfall amounts will likely stay below 0.25″, except in stronger storms. Rain chance bobs up and down through this unsettled period with a higher chance for widespread rain come early next week.

Until then, we’ll have to deal with the heat and humidity as Wednesday is looking to be the hottest day of the year so far. The high temperature is forecast to top out in the mid to upper 90s with the heat index value near 112.
