5th Annual Diamonds and Charity Ball happening next week

Here’s your chance to dress up and grab a little bit of bling in the process.

The 5th Annual Diamonds and Ice Charity Ball is next Friday, December 2 at the D’Iberville Community Center.

Doors open at 5:30 PM and the event will go until 8:30.

It’s a gala event that will help Carter’s Champions, ball gowns and tuxedos are encouraged.

There will be a silent auction and live entertainment by Unfazed Band.

There’s also an opportunity to win a diamond donated by Haney’s Pawn Shop.

“It’s a great way for us to help the local community and give back to a charity that’s really doing some good. It’s going to Carter’s Champion’s this year which raises funds and awareness for breast cancer,” said Amy Bowman of the D’Iberville/St. Martin Chamber of Commerce. “Each guest will get a signature drink with an ice cube in it containing a fake diamond. When the ice melts and the diamond has markings on it, that will determine the winners.”

Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple.

Orders can be placed by calling 228-861-2293.

A cooler full of wine and spirits will be raffled off as well.
