5A State Championship Game: Picayune Maroon Tide defeats West Point

All kinds of history on the line tonight for the Picayune football team going for its first-ever perfect season and the first back-to-back state championships in school history.

And a familiar foe on the other side of the 5A title game in the form of West Point who’s now been to this point seven years in a row.

But the Maroon Tide starting to feel like a team of destiny once again still the defending champs until proven otherwise.

Picayune does it again! They defeat West Point 31-21 en route to back-to-back MHSAA 5A State championships!
