5/11 – Rob’s “Hump Day” Forecast

The Mississippi gulf coast continue to be under the dominance of a strong southerly flow. This will continue to increase humidity and warm temperatures through the end of the workweek. High-pressure in the NE’Tern Gulf will block the SE from system through Thursday afternoon when a cold front will approach from the west. Added lift in the atmosphere will spawn showers and thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon…but more so Thursday night into Friday morning. The activity will tapper-off by midday Friday. A NW flow aloft will bring cooler/drier air into the region Friday night providing for a cool & dry start Saturday morning. A beautiful weekend is ahead but the humidity will return late Sunday afternoon.
