4th annual Pusharatas for Possums benefiting Wild at Heart Rescue

Volunteers from Seymour Law Firm and the Demoran Group at Keller Williams were hard at work in the kitchen for the fourth annual Pusharatas for Possums fundraiser.

Tina Seymour Demoran never thought her mother’s recipe would be a success in helping the nonprofit organization Wild at Heart Rescue.

Demoran is the general counselor for Wild at Heart and came up with the idea to sale pusharatas in an effort to support wildlife needs for survival.

Pusharatas are a type of Slovakian fried donut. This year, 20,000 pusharatas were sold.

Demoran raised around $10,000 for Wild at Heart. “My mom passed away in 21. Every year until last year, she was here volunteering with her hair in rollers, glazing the pusharatas while I fried them. We have a tribute table to her today because it all started with her.”

Next year, Demoran is aiming towards 50,000 pusharatas.
