43rd annual CoastCon takes over Coast Convention Center
Thousands of sci-fi enthusiasts and gamers gathered on the Coast this weekend for one of the state’s premier conventions.
CoastCon returned to the Mississippi Coast Convention Center for the 43rd year this weekend, featuring three days of panel discussions, opportunities to interact with vendors, and other exhibits such as an art gallery.
Twenty-six thousand square feet of floor space was also set aside for gamers to take their skills to the next level against other competitors. CoastCon Assistant Convention Director Tiffany Brown said, “It’s been very successful. We’re actually expecting our numbers to be up a little bit from what we were hoping. We’ve had a lot of traffic this year and it’s been great.”
CoastCon wrapped up yesterday following a day of more gaming and panel discussions.
