40th annual Biloxi Seafood Festival took place this weekend
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce hosted the 40th annual Biloxi Seafood Festival over the weekend.
The event was held at Biloxi Town Green and was open both Saturday and Sunday.
Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, arts and crafts, kids activities, and some of the best seafood along the Coast.
A variety of vendors were set up at the event as well selling products ranging from hot sauces to home decorations.
The event was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the chamber took every precaution they needed to make sure the festival ran this year. Biloxi Chamber President Sam Burke said, “You know, we missed out last year, and we made a decision to come back this year. We’re back down here at the town green and it’s already filing up. We’re out in the open air. Everything’s spread out and as safe as we can get it. So, it’s a wonderful time to come spend some money, support your local businesses, and vendors in the downtown area and eat some good food and listen to music.”
The festival also held a gumbo tasting contest on day two.
