4/8 – Rob Martin’s “No Weekend Worries” Friday Evening Forecast

A RED FLAG WARNING and WIND ADVISORY are in place until 7 PM this evening. Outdoor burning is discouraged with these gusty winds and very low humidity hovering in the 20-30% range. Winds will calm down to the 10-15 MPH range by 8PM. The lack of mixing will allow the heavier, cool air to hug the surface and cause temperatures to once again fall rapidly after sunset.
Most will end up in the low-mid 40s by daybreak, but the lower elevations of Jackson/Pearl River counties could drop to the upper 30s. Temps rebound a bit quicker tomorrow, reaching the mid 70s as humidity stays low. Saturday night will be closer to 50 degrees for lows, followed by upper 70s for Sunday as it stays dry and sunny.
A southerly flow develops Monday with a bit more in the way of cloud cover and highs in the upper 70s. Humidity and breezy conditions return Tuesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Next week looks unsettled and wet as the next cold front moves very slow, keeping cloud cover and humidity up, and also keeping thunderstorm chances in the forecast through the work week.  Highs will be around 80 (depending on cloud cover), and overnight lows will come way up next week…in the upper 60s for the most part.
