4/3 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Ideal Spring Day” Wednesday Evening Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

As was the case all day Wednesday, we are starting out this evening on the quiet side following a nice and pleasant day! We will continue to see winds steadily lower some as we decouple/cool off at the surface around/after sunset. Otherwise, tonight is looking calm and chilly. Main focus will be on temperatures, and if winds can remain elevated enough to counterbalance radiational cooling influences. Typically we can see some turbulent mixing in this shallow of a surface radiation inversion, so be skeptical of predictions reducing winds too much overnight. Our weather pattern will be favorable for outdoor activity through Saturday. I will have more on tomorrow’s forecast in a few minutes.

As always: A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition. Be nice to each other.
