4/27 – Sam’s Monday night forecast

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead

Expect partly cloudy skies tonight with temperatures in the upper 60s by Tuesday morning, and we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with highs climbing into the low 80s by the afternoon.

By Wednesday, a few isolated showers and thunderstorms could develop during the afternoon, but the better chance arrives Wednesday night into Thursday. Rain coverage increases, with scattered storms possible at times through Thursday and Friday. While it won’t rain all day, expect periods of showers, more clouds, and a generally unsettled stretch.

A front moves through late Friday into Saturday, bringing more widespread rain and storms Friday night. Behind it, drier and breezier conditions settle in. Highs drop into the low to mid 70s Saturday with gusty north winds, and temperatures fall into the low 50s by Saturday night.

Rain chances taper off by Sunday and by Monday, sunshine returns with temperatures returning to the mid to upper 70s.
