4/16 – Sam’s Thursday Night Forecast
It’s a quiet and comfortable night, with mostly clear skies and lows settling in the mid-60s.
Friday looks like a picture-perfect spring day with plenty of sunshine and highs near 80. A light breeze will pick up out of the south in the afternoon, keeping things pleasant. Friday night stays mild with a few passing clouds and lows in the mid-60s.
By Saturday, clouds begin to increase, but much of the day remains dry with highs again near 80. Changes arrive late Saturday night as a weak front approaches, bringing a 30% chance for showers and thunderstorms after 1 AM.
That front lingers into Sunday, with a slight chance of lingering showers early in the day. Skies stay mostly cloudy with cooler highs in the mid-70s, and a noticeable north breeze develops. By Sunday night, drier air filters in, bringing cooler temperatures into the low 50s and a bit of a breeze.
Next week starts off nice and quiet. Monday through Thursday brings a mix of sun and clouds with gradually moderating temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Winds shift from the northeast to the southeast by midweek, signaling a return to a more typical spring pattern along the Gulf Coast.
