4/15 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Clouds Build” Monday Night Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

With the upper low lifting into the Great Lakes Wednesday into Thursday, the upper ridge rebuilds along the Gulf Coast, with the surface boundary remaining well north of the area. A stray shower or storm over southwest Mississippi by Thursday afternoon can’t be ruled out entirely. Weather model rain chances look to be a bit too high. For the weekend, ridging gets suppressed a bit southward. Multiple weather models are showing several shortwaves moving through zonal flow across the southern states Friday through the weekend. The strongest of the shortwaves looks to be on Sunday.

As always: A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition. Be nice to each other.
