4/13 – Sam’s “warm & quiet” Monday night forecast

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead

More warm and mostly dry weather is settling in across the Coast for this week, with plenty of sunshine each afternoon and temperatures hovering right around 80 at the coast and mid 80s inland.

Tonight stays mostly clear with temperatures in the mid 60s and a light southeast breeze, while the forecast remains very similar through most of this week. We’re expecting plenty of sunshine during the day, a few clouds at night, and highs consistently in the low 80s. Overnight lows will stay mild in the mid to upper 60s.

The warm pattern holds into Friday and Saturday, with highs reaching the low to mid 80s under a mix of sun and clouds. South winds will continue, helping keep humidity levels elevated and nights mild.

A shift arrives late in the weekend as a weak cold front comes through on Sunday. Highs will still remain near 80, but a north wind develops by Sunday afternoon, signaling a change in air mass. By Sunday night, temperatures drop a little more, with lows in the upper 50s with a northeast breeze.
