4/11 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Coasting” Thursday Night Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

Clouds have cleared out and sunny skies have taken over. Wednesday’s cold front continues to push through with cooler and drier air sinking into the area. Additional survey crews were out today and should have a few more final ratings this evening. Tomorrow and through the weekend the weather will be quiet and we probably could not ask for better weather in mid April. The biggest problem will be fire weather concerns Friday. Luckily, winds will back down considerably compared to today but with dewpoints dropping into the upper 30s to lower 40s meaning; the minimum relative humidity could range from the upper 20s to lower 30% range Friday afternoon. Outside of that we will be quiet. The longwave trough continues to slide east with northwest flow over the area. That northwest flow will remain in place through Saturday as a ridge builds across the Plains.

As always: A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition. Be nice to each other.
