39th annual Our Lady of the Gulf Crab Fest kicks off

Excitement is mounting in Bay St. Louis as locals and visitors gather for Our Lady of the Gulf’s 39th annual Crab Fest.

The festival features crafts booths, a midway with rides for the kids, and live music, but the star of this show is the food.

With its enticing aromas, lively atmosphere, and mouthwatering gumbo prepared by Mayor Mike Favre, the festival promises to be a feast for the senses and showcasing the best of local seafood.

Jimmy Osbourn says this festival has the best seafood you’ll ever take. “Some of the greatest food that you’ll ever taste. Jimmy Ladner has the New Orleans booth, all home cooking. He has jambalaya, red beans and rice, cold pasta salad. You move over to the fried seafood, the sheriff and his family have prepared that. Some of the best fried fish and fried shrimp you can put in your mouth.”

The festival will continue through Saturday, July 1st from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
