36th Annual Diocesan Elementary Track Meet

The stands were packed today at St. Patrick High School as elementary students from across the Coast lined up to test their skills in track and field.
The Nativity Catholic Diocese Track Meet included over 500 participants and consisted of events like the long jump and the 40 yard dash. The event is in its 36th year.
An estimated crowd of over 1,000 was out in full force to cheer on the tiny contestants. Although everyone couldn’t walk away with a ribbon, the kids definitely learned valuable lessons in sportsmanship.
The program gives schools along the Coast who do not have a track program a chance to compete.
