34th annual OLG Crab Festival
Seafood, music, and rides, those are just some of the things you’ll be able to enjoy at the 34th annual Crab Fest this weekend in Bay St. Louis.
The event is hosted by the Our Lady of the Gulf Church every year during the Fourth of July weekend. There are more than one hundred local vendors on the festival grounds.
Crab Fest is recognized for its delicacy, including Cajun food, boiled seafood, specialty crab dishes and more. Crab Fest is the church’s only fundraiser of the year.
News 25 spoke to Laura Griffith with Our Lady of Gulf Church who tells us why over one hundred community members come together as volunteers to run the event. “It’s the love for their church. It’s the love of a community coming together to help celebrate our church, but also help celebrate our nation. You know, the Fourth of July, we are very patriotic around here.”
Crab Fest will run from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. tomorrow and from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday.
