33rd Annual Biloxi Seafood Fest is This Weekend

The 33rd Annual Biloxi Seafood Festival kicks off this weekend at Point Cadet Plaza.

Before the festivities begin, construction crews will be out at the sight finishing last minute infrastructure updates to the playground and splash pad. Sponsors of this weekend’s event say it will be done in time for guests to enjoy the best seafood on the Coast.

Sean Desporte, owner of Desporte & Sons Seafood, says, “We’re gonna’ have a lot of boiled shrimp, we’re gonna’ have live boiled crabs. They’re doing fried fish, fried shrimp, all the seafood is caught this week. We’re actually gonna’ have local Biloxi bacon, which is mullet.”

The festival runs Saturday and Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. Tickets range from $5 to $15.
