32nd annual Summer Fair
Rides, games, food, and fun are just a few things you can expect at the 32nd annual South Mississippi Summer Fair at the Coast Coliseum.
The summer fair opened at 5 p.m. today with free admission on Sundays through Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays, there will be a $5 admission fee for ages 12 and older.
This year, things are going to be bigger and better with two new rides that will be featured to guarantee a good time for everyone. Each day there will be shows including the extreme illusionists Josh Knotts who tells News 25 he has revamped his show with new and exciting things this year. “We are featuring the claw escape and it’s a Las Vegas style escape. It’s going to be crazy cool. It’s very breath taking, very loud. You won’t be able to miss the sound throughout the fairgrounds. Also, we are going to take a kid, this is a favorite; this is actually going to be the third year we have done it because of requests. We take a kid from the audience and we poke holes through him with spikes. It’s called the acupuncture and it’s a very funny trick and the kid gets to be the star of the show.”
There will also be a live show featuring alligator wrestling as well as elephant riding.
