3/9 – Rob’s Midday News “Warm Workweek” Forecast
Southerly winds will continue to enhance warm air and moisture into the region, especially today. Upper level divergence Monday will lead to the enhancement of some lifting in the environment. A weak disturbance will progress through the area Tuesday, bringing some chances of rainfall.
The moisture and lifting in the environment will help to fuel some showers and a potential thunderstorm or two Tuesday. Overall, this system looks to be weak, and rainfall totals will likely not be very high. Wednesday through Sunday, high pressure will build over the region again moving eastward. This high pressure system will lower the rain chances for the region toward the end of the week through the weekend.
Southerly winds through this time will enhance the moisture advection into the region, increasing the humidity in the area for this time period. Overall, it should feel warmer and more humid toward the end of this week and next weekend.
