2nd annual Taste of Hancock County features food from across the county

Hancock County hosted the second annual Taste of Hancock County fundraiser in Bay St. Louis.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of southern dishes from shrimp and grits to crawfish Monica, jambalaya, bread pudding, and more.

Rachel Knight, director of Hancock County Tourism, says the goal was to raise money for community events in Hancock County.

In other words, it’s a fun event to fund further fun events. “We have the Jordan River Steamer. They’re in Kiln, Mississippi, along with Dempsey’s. Dempsey’s is in Kiln, Mississippi, as well. We have S&B Sports Bar. They’re a Waveland restaurant. We have Southern Girl Cookies. She’s a Waveland restaurant. So, we like to promote all of our businesses throughout the entire county.”
