25th Annual Mullet and Music Fest
It’s that time of year again. Mullets were flying through the air in Gautier this weekend.
This year’s theme was celebrating 25 years of fun and good times, and good times it was. Besides flying fish, the 25th annual Mullet and Music Fest in Gautier had lots of other fun activities for people to enjoy. The event offered live music, local flavors, hand crafted items, a petting zoo, a car show and more.
For the second year in a row, Gautier resident Willie Dees is the festival’s art contest winner. His art is displayed on the official post of this year’s Mullet and Music Fest. “I feel totally elated being the winner for the second year because I had some stiff competition and there are a lot of great local artists around here and I’m just totally ecstatic,” said Dees.
Mayor Gordon Gollott said, “This has been possibly the biggest crowd we’ve ever had in the history of the Mullet Festival and you could not have asked for better weather than what we have here today. It is just absolutely gorgeous.”
If you missed out on all the fun this year, the Mullet and Music Festival is held every year on the third weekend of October.
