24th Annual Crawfish Music Festival

It was a dreary day out today but that didn’t stop set up for the 24th annual Crawfish Music Festival at the Coast Coliseum.

In addition to thrilling carnival rides, arts and crafts vendors and delicious food, there’s plenty of live entertainment on tap with acts like X-Ambassadors, Travis Tritt, and North Mississippi Allstars.

It all starts Thursday night, the only night with free gate admission. The show will go on for all scheduled events and concerts this weekend and next, come rain or shine. Coliseum Executive Director Matt McDonnell said, “In case the weather were to get really crazy, we can go inside the arena but right now it looks like the weather forecast is going to cooperate for us and we’re going to have a great weekend of activities, lots of national acts, regional acts and a few local acts that we’ve showcased along with lots of crawfish and pay one price rides every day.”

The two weekend event will kickoff tomorrow night with the 2016 Miss Crawfish Music Festival Scholarship Pageant presented by WXXV News 25 and the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
