2026 Legislative Session now underway

JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)- Both houses of the Mississippi Legislature gaveled in at noon Tuesday for the start of the 2026 Legislative session.
The legislature will remain in regular session through April 5th at the state capitol in Jackson.
Lots of major topics will be on the agenda this session, including the issues of school choice, rural healthcare, workforce development issues, and online sports betting.
