2026 Legislative Session begins Tuesday
JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)- Tuesday is a big day in Jackson as lawmakers from every corner of the state converge at the state capitol for the start of the 2026 Legislative Session.
Both houses will officially gavel in at noon Tuesday and will remain in regular session through April 5.
Lots of major topics will be on the agenda this session, including the issues of school choice, rural healthcare, workforce development issues, and even online sports betting.
