2023 feature card of Cruisin’ arrives in Biloxi

The 2023 feature car is making its rounds for the 27th annual Cruisin’ the Coast!

The feature car for this year’s event was located at the heart of the Biloxi Block Party earlier today, as cruisers ooh’d and ahh’d over the blue beauty.

The 1965 Super Sport Chevelle is a dream come true for the owner, Sonny Freeman, who wanted to build a ’65 because of the fond memories he had in a truck when he was younger.

Freeman asked Mike Goldman of Goldman’s Customs if he could make his ideas come to life like he had done before.

And needless to say, Freeman was speechless at the reveal.

“It was a wild moment is what it was. I couldn’t find anything not to like. They have built a few cars for us and I’ve had several wild moments, but this car here was a pretty special one car,” said Freeman. “It was the most modified of any of the cars that we’ve ever done. Just extremely creative people that come up with the list of changes made that only enhance the car, and so many people have told me that if GM would see this car, this is the way the car should have been built in 1965.”

“It’s a great honor to be asked and we’ve really enjoyed working with Rod here and ET Motorgear. We enjoy the coast and we’ve been here almost every year since it started 27 years ago, and it’s been a good family experience,” said Mike Goldman. “We normally ride and drive the cars up and down the coast with all of the grandkids us and it’s a really good time.”

An image of the feature car can also be seen on all the official Cruisin’ the Coast T-shirts!
