2022 Midterm Election Results

South Mississippi residents went to the polls today for the midterm elections. Other than the congressional race, most elections centered on judicial seats, which are nonpartisan, and school board seats.

Here are the results:

For U.S. House of Representatives 4th Congressional District: Mike Ezell wins with 111,900 votes. Johnny Dupree received 34,981 votes and Alden Johnson received 3,025 votes.

Joel Smith ran unopposed in the special judicial election for Court of Appeals 05 District 5 Position 2.

In Harrison County: 53 out of 53 precincts reporting

Lisa Dodson has won the race for Circuit Court 2 Circuit District 02 Place 1. Dodson had 28,861 of the votes. Maggio had 18,126 of the votes. Dodson was re-elected to this position.

Alison Baker has won the race for Harrison County Court Judge Place 1. Baker received 21,903 votes. Watts received 13,954 votes.

Steven Ramsey has won the race for Harrison County School Board District 1. Ramsey received 1,745 votes. Wingo received 1,250 votes.

In the District 2 Harrison County School Board race, Tom Daniels received 935 votes. Kinyatta Bennett received 680 votes. Betty Daniel received 919 votes. Zenobia ‘Ann’ Bryant Holt received 356 votes. Marcus Whitfield received 503 votes. Tom Daniels and Betty Daniel will go to a runoff for the seat.

Jim Persons ran unopposed for Chancery Court 8 Chancery District 08 Place 1.

Jennifer T. Schloegel ran unopposed for Chancery Court 8 Chancery District 08 Place 2.

Margaret Alfonso ran unopposed for Chancery Court 8 Chancery District 03 Place 3.

Carter Bise ran unopposed for Chancery Court 8 Chancery Court District 08 Place 4.

Chris Schmidt ran unopposed for Circuit Court Circuit District 02 Place 2.

Larry Bourgeois ran unopposed for Circuit Court Circuit District 02 Place 3.

Randi Peresich Mueller ran unopposed for Circuit Court Circuit District 02 Place 4.

Robin Alfred Midcalf ran unopposed for County Court Judge Place 2.

Mike Dickinson ran unopposed for County Court Judge Place 3.

In Jackson County:

For Chancery Court 16 Chancery District 16 Place 1:

  • Ashlee Cole: 21,589 votes
  • Tanya Hasbrouck: 15,475 votes

For Circuit Court 19 Circuit District 19 Place 3:

  • Stephen W. Burrow: 10,968 votes
  • Shon Ellerby: 6,014 votes
  • Calvin D. Taylor: 20,041 votes

For County Court Judge Place 2:

  • Jennifer Sekul Harris: 11,228 votes
  • Stacie E. Zorn: 16,292 votes

For Election Commissioner District 2:

  • Katrina Stallworth Viverette: 2,275 votes
  • Elbert Wright: 729 votes

Neil Harris, Sr. ran unopposed for Chancery Court 16 Chancery District 16 Place 1.

Mark Maples ran unopposed for Chancery Court 16 Chancery District 16 Place 3.

Keith Miller ran unopposed for Circuit Court 19 Circuit District 19 Place 1.

Kathy King Jackson ran unopposed for Circuit Court 19 Circuit District 19 Place 2.

Mark H. Watts ran unopposed for County Court Judge Place 2.

Tommy Clifford ran unopposed for Election Commissioner District 4.

Matt Johnson ran unopposed for School District PAAT School Board Member.

Antoinette Robinson Morris ran unopposed for Moss Point School District Trustee 2.

Jennifer Anderson ran unopposed for Moss Point School District Trustee 4.
