Jack the Biloxi Fire Dog was back out in the community today debuting his new collectible item.
Fire Chief Joe Boney and Jack stood outside the Lopez-Quave Public Safety Center this afternoon, performing tricks and handing out Jack’s trading cards to the public.
The card features a cute photo of Jack along with a safety tip and Jack’s history with the fire department.
Chief Boney says Jack has made tremendous growth in the year he’s been with the department and is looking forward to releasing more trading cards with new messages in the future. “The idea is that three or four times a year we’ll have a new one made, with a new message on it. So, we can continue putting in fire prevention messages out there. That’s Jack’s primary job.”
While COVID-19 restrictions mean Jack can’t visit schools and nursing homes right now, Chief Boney says these meet and greets will continue monthly to allow Jack to connect with Biloxians.
