They say that Real Men Wear Pink and earlier this evening those men were honored for their contributions in the fight against breast cancer.
Twenty-eight ambassadors from the Coast raised over $100,000 this year for the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign.
Among pink lighting and in front of community members dedicated to breast cancer awareness, those men were presented with awards thanking them for their hard work.
This year’s Real Man of the Year is State Representative Kevin Felsher, who raised over $22,000 with the help of family and friends.
He says the support from the community in this effort continues to grow. “We did it through just a charitable Gulf Coast community, everybody coming on board and pitching in and that equaled over $105,000 and it feels great to be able to contribute that.”
Felsher says this is the first year he’s participated in the campaign and looks forward to working with the American Cancer Society again in the future.
