Mayor Gilich releases new guidelines for Biloxi bars and restaurants

Biloxi Mayor Andrew ‘FoFo’ Gilich issued an executive order to make sure local restaurants and bars were following the governor’s mandate to end alcohol sales at 11 p.m.

In his new executive order, Gilich acknowledges that some restaurants and bars have “continued to do so under the ruse of pre-sold drink tickets or wrist bracelets.”

Gilich said in his latest order: “Restaurants and bars shall not sell, serve, or distribute alcohol including beer and wine between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.”

The executive order takes effect at 5 p.m. Wednesday and remains in effect until August 17th unless amended.
