What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a tragedy for the Morton family and now they need your help in the investigation.
Sixty-seven year-old John Morton was bicycling Friday on Woolmarket Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Biloxi police arrived on scene around 6:30 a.m. Morton was airlifted to a hospital in Louisiana where he died from his injuries.
Morton was a handyman from western Maryland. He was visiting family in Biloxi and during his vacation he had started taking daily bike rides. His daughter Jessica Paugh said, “He was hit while biking on Woolmarket Road and we would like to know if anyone else has info and if they would come forward and give us any information. Because we basically have been told nothing.”
